The exhibition which will be on display from the 2nd of July through until the 4th of September is devoted entirely to the works of British artists Francis Bacon.

The Irish-born British figurative painter is best known for his bold, grotesque, emotionally charged and raw imagery. Curated by Martin Harrison, author of the Francis Bacon Catalogue Raisonné, the exhibition will take place with the support of The Estate of Francis Bacon in London, and the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation based in Monaco.

Featuring more than sixty works, this is one of the most ambitious projects about this artist for some time. Without a doubt one of the main draws of the show will be the display of the last picture the artist painted, dating from 1991, a year before his death.

"Study of a Bull", the painting, had remained undiscovered in London for more than 20 years until it was found by Martin Harrison, the curator of the exhibition. This is a work that has never been publicly seen, reproduced, discussed or written about.
