The Monegasque Bus Company (CAM) has been awarded the Monaco Welcome Certified label in recognition of the quality of welcome offered to users on board buses and in its office.

We're probably grown accustomed to the view that Monaco service levels are seen as 'excellent' and those visiting the Principality can now be assured that it is not resting on its laurels. The 'Monaco Welcome' certificate was brought to fruition in 2010 by the Prince Albert II and the Government in order to strengthen the attractiveness of this glorious Principality.

Obtaining the 'Monaco Welcome Certified' label is a voluntary process available to all Monegasque establishments that are open and available to the public. Scored on their accessibility, hospitality, infrastructures, cleanliness and decor, and of course on the service provided by staff, the certificate can be seen in the windows of many shops, bars and restaurants across Monaco, including Jimmy'z nightclub, Cafe de Paris and Buddha Bar Restaurant. Several spas are also certified, along with well-known hotels the Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel & Resort, Le Meridien Beach Plaza and Hotel de Paris.

In keeping with this warm welcome, the transport system is often part of a visitor's overall experience. Now, the Monaco Bus Company (CAM) has been awarded the 'Monaco Welcome Certified' label. CAM was the subject of several mystery shopper visits, which were carried out both in the sales office and on the six bus routes serving the Principality. During the visits, mystery shoppers assessed the quality of the welcome offered by drivers and their ability to make themselves understood when dealing with non-French-speaking passengers. Testers also evaluated the cleanliness and general condition of the buses, bus stops and sales office premises, and checked that automatic ticket machines were in good working order.

The bus company will hold this label for the coming three years.
