'Mobee' Electric Vehicles Available for Tourists in Monaco

Launched in Monaco back in July 2014, Mobee is an interactive car-share scheme. There is a Tourist Offer (specifically at the Fairmont Hotel) where these silent two-man cars can be booked by visitors, picked up from the hotel and dropped off at the hotel.

After registration process (driving licence and I.D) the concierge will arrange for your 'key'. Then, you are free to drive the car with no restrictions inside the Principality, and may go even outside Monaco, to explore the pretty surrounding villages.

After nine months of operation, the company entered a new phase and have added several new features, including more vehicles, bringing the total number to 25 in the fleet. You can now use a smartphone App to geolocate, book and access the vehicles. In addition the Monte Carlo Bay, will also now offer access to Mobee Tourist.

One major benefit of the scheme is that parking is free and each car can be left in a space for either 2 or 4 wheeled vehicles, or with one of the public parking partners. The battery charging is done through the network of 450 public parking terminals.
