The tiny city-state of Monaco celebrated the first Meeting of the Grimaldi Historic Sites last weekend, a celebration of the country's culture and heritage as well as of its royal dynasty. Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attended the event with their children.

The royal family really got into the spirit of the celebration. Princess Gabriella, Prince Jacques and their father were rocking the Monaco traditional dress while Princess Charlene wore a chic striped summer dress. Also dressed up was Pierre Casiraghi, son of Caroline, who chose a full medieval armour as he staged a fight scene.

The Meeting of the Grimaldi Historic Sites showcased Monegasque culture, from its history (including medieval combats) to its folklore, gastronomy, traditions and produce. The twins particularly enjoyed the activities for children including piñatas and a petting zoo
